DOG REGISTRATIONS 2008 GOONDIWINDI TOWN & WAGGAMBA SHIRE AREAS

With the impending Amalgamation of Councils in March 2008, residents from the Towns of Goondiwindi, Yelarbon, Toobeah, Bungunya, Talwood and the Goondiwindi Environs can now register their dogs at the Goondiwindi Town Council office at 100 Marshall Street, Goondiwindi.

Current registration will expire on 31^st December 2007.

Dog registration for 2008 can now be made in advance and registrations must be completed before 28^th February 2008.

Keeping of unregistered dogs after this date will incur an “On the Spot” fine of $75.00

Council's By-law No. 5 "Keeping and Control of Animals" require registration of dogs over the age of three (3) months.  Only two dogs are permitted. 

Dogs found wandering at large may be impounded.  The impounding and release fee for an unregistered dog is $110.00 plus registration whereas for a registered dog it is $100.00.
