Located within the Goondiwindi Waggamba Library Complex, Goondiwindi District Promotions Inc (GDP) is a community based, not-for-profit organisation whose charter is to promote Goondiwindi and Waggamba Shire.

GDP provides a number of services to the town and district including:

  • Promoting the region and its opportunities;
  • Supporting local businesses, industry and the community;
  • Developing tourism through the management of the Visitor Information Centre, production of the Goondiwindi Visitor Guide and a number of other key promotional activities; and
  • Promoting and supporting events and conferences within the town and district

Promoting Goondiwindi and district brings benefits to everyone ensuring continued economic development. This is achieved by promoting Goondiwindi’s attractive and progressive image to the thousands of travellers passing through the district and to the businesses wishing to establish themselves here. This is also achieved by promoting the businesses within Goondiwindi and district by running ‘buy local’ promotions and through networking functions.

Increasing the number of visitors and businesses in the region helps everyone. This is because the more people we have coming into the town and district, the more money that is spent on everything from food, accommodation and retail shopping, to building, transport, schooling and other vital services.

GDP meets at 6.00pm every third Wednesday of the month at Goondiwindi Training and Technology, 15-21 Russell Street. Meetings are open to members and anyone interested in the development of the Goondiwindi region.
